Today is just a bad day. I got my ACT scores and I fucking bombed it. I feel so retarded. I only passed on 2 sections, I barely failed English and math. I got 22 in English, 23 in math, 18 in reading and 21 in science (Fucking guessed on the entire section).
So..!! 21/36 all together n_n Fuck. My. Life.

God dammit I don't know how the hell I did so bad. Now I have to pay to retake the test and watch me fucking fail it again because I'm a shit test taker. Ughh this is so embarrassing now I have to tell my parents and have them pay for me to retake them. God dammit.

Now i'm going to look like a RETARD to every college I had it sent out to.

THE THING IS. I'M NOT RETARDED. I can read books and UNDERSTAND THEM, I've gotten A's in math for the past 3 years and I'm GOOD AT MATH when I'm not lazy about it, science is a joke I fucking hate science so much, and English..is one of my best subjects.....

And this makes me look like a C average student who might just go to a community college and maybe nothing ELSE. How EASY.

WHY CAN'T THEY DO THESE TESTS DIFFERENT WAYS. GOD. What about those poor kids who are super smart but freak out during tests and do really badly? How the hell will they get into the college they deserve to?

I might just try and take the SAT and aim for 2000, but watch me get AVERAGE ^_^ 1450 or some shit. 1540. I don't know. Fuck.

I wish I never looked at my scores.

It's not really a super big deal, though - the only thing my ACT scores did was help me waive some prerequisite classes in college. Didn't hurt anything. So cheer up, you'll be okay.

my teacher said that it's extremely common for people to retake the ACT, some like 4 to 6 times, but your 3rd time 'round is usually your best. most colleges also don't rely too heavily on your ACT scores or even your SAT (since most states, like mine, dont even require SAT's), they look a lot at the extra stuff you've done (clubs, volunteer work, etc--band is also a big one, if you play something uncommon you're almost guaranteed to be accepted and given a scholarship)

they also mainly determine your acceptance from your admission essays, so if you suck at writing then your english teacher / a tutor / whatev would be glad to help you.

trust me, you're not a retard, and the colleges won't think that either. they know that some people freak during tests and do horribly while they're straight-A students. they deal with that all the time. don't forget you also put your GPA on your college admissions, and they'll see that. i also doubt your parents will mind spending a little more cash on a test that is, unfortunately, IMPORTANT even though colleges don't look at it much.

i got a 23 like eisha-suiiki, but hell i'm not retaking it because i hate that test. LOL worst 2 days of my life. + i'm not planning on going to any huge colleges.

now that you have a feel for the test, though, just calm down next time you take it. it's just some questions that you've heard before. being stressed about it is going to make your mind loopy.

also, idk if you've heard this trick, but if you fill in all the blanks you'll get points for it.

btw i guessed on the entire science section too, got like an 18.

see me, I'm the other way around - I do well on exams and do really badly during the year, because I can't be bothered to do the work, and then cram at the end. D: So I always come out with like... Cs and Ds for my coursework.. and Bs and As on exams. So my average is always a C or so.

WE SHOULD SWAP MINDS every so often *thumbsup*

Ahh thanks so much for all of that. And yeah, I filled in all of the blanks on my last one. BUT WHATEVER I'M OVER IT, I'm just going to take the next one in September and do that online ACT prep and hopefully that will help.
