EDIT: Guys i think its gonna be okay now faskfjsa i just let the battery die and im recharging it and its behaving so far
MY IPOD NANO DIED ;m; Its completely FROZEN and my dad and I tried like everything from resetting to plugging it into the computer to putting it on hold to see if the light would turn off so it atleast doesnt overheat and nothing worked ;m;...i dont know what i'll do if I have to get a new one..and right before school too ughh. God I loved that thing. Alteast theyre cheap on ebay?? I dont know if I want like...the ipod touch or anything spectacular. I liked my small one.
The new ones are so UGLY too it looks like some fatty sat on it and bam new ipod n_n ugh i dont know what to doooo ;;. Right now my dads hoping that when the battery dies we can just charge it and it'll be normal again \: i hopeeee that works i really do. ughh and this is happening right before school too and i use it every day when i walk home DB
Most of the time they have an automatic reset code were you have to push certain buttons at the same time to make them work but I don't have nano so I don't know the combo for it :<

hit it or drop it. i know it sounds stupid but it's probably frozen cos something came out of place or jammed. let it drop on the surface of a book up from like a foot.

yes try hitting/dropping it IT WORKED WITH MY OLD MP3 PLAYER LOL except eventually it just died because it lived a long life and it was too beaten up asdfd but it seriously did work. it was a lot clunkier than an ipod though so idk
i hate it when ipods break oh god it's so torturous. mine got stolen last year so i'm using my friend's olllLLLLDDD ipod shuffle
