OKAY SO My mom was at the beach today and she saw this small little prissy shiloh dog right and shes like THATS THE KIND OF DOG I WANT ^_^ THAT SIZE WOULD BE PERFECT.
When my brother told me I was about to scream.
I called my dad and we talked and he feels the same way, he doesn't want a small little pooch. I want a BIG dog to scare my neighbors little things. I want a dog that is B-A now wimpy. No girly chihuahua crap. SO Im trying to come up with arguements..yknow..to make her see my way and um..I NEED help too because I'm not the smartest with dogs but if I can act like I know A LOT (WITH YOUR HELP!!) then this will be a lot easier.
So far I have that if she took a bigger dog with her on her walks she does every morning no one would mess with her or try and take her away if that ever was to happen!!! it would be all GROWL SNARL RRRRR GWARR RRR But if she had a little prissy crap it would be all YELP YELP and hop randomly wtf NOT HELPFUL
And she has a problem with me going on walks too. But if I had a dog that made people not want to mess with me then I'd be completely safe. And I love walking so this would be like..perfect for me.
And then theres times where she wants to leave the kids home but shes afraid to. She worries too much. If we had a bigger dog that was more of a guard dog..then she wouldnt have to worry because it would just scare them off or sickem or whatever but if there was a pussy dog they'd LAUGH HAHAHAHAAAA LOL WHAT IS THAT!! MEOWWWW
nothing safe about that.
THEN THERES HEALTH ISSUES. Don't littler dogs have more health problems? I think I've heard that somewhere but I really..don't know. But i think it's an idea that I can use to benefit my side on this. So if I say that littler dogs have more health problems and use my aunts pompom dog as support to that maybeeee i can convince her to let us upgrade it a size. ...so Like instead of a smallish mediumish dog maybe a ..bigger medium.. 'large' dog. THE DOG I WANT IS MEDIUM. but it isnt pussy medium. ..and maybe that'll eliminate those health problems. and health problems means vet trips which means money. Ughhhhh
Small dogs can be pretty protective too! But if you want a medium size dog, I'd suggest a Border Collie, or a Lab or something! Might try going to Petsmart and asking some people! Border Collies are protective, and the smartest breed! And they are very sweet and lovable!

but they're too active. I don't have the right sized yard for them and such. I tried to figure out if it would work, but I realized, sadly, it wouldnt |D;.

-Small dogs are more likely to get stolen. Especially yorkshire terriers, poodles, Pomeranians, shih-tzus and dogs like that. Read thiss: [link] -Very small and very big dogs tend to not live as long as medium sized dogs. -Small dogs can get stepped on/fall off beds/get killed by eagles, coyotes, foxes, bigger dogs etc. So they usually cost more due to Vet bills from injuries and such. -Small dogs tend to have a lot of behavior problems cuz people don't train and discipline them cuz they're so small. I've worked at an animal shelter and a boarding kennel, and at both places I've only been bit by little dogs. Never by the so called "mean/dangerous" dogs. My favorite dogs were always the Akitas, Pit bulls and Rottweilers actually. -You can't like...rough house/play with a little dog. D:
